The FAQs are very clear about the reservation windows available to the different membership tiers.

Is additional inventory released after the 13 month window? I'm asking about "as a matter of policy" type stuff like the 50% 13/12 month weeks policy. I figure they randomly release stuff as weeks owners convert.

Specifically I am trying to get Mountainside or Summit Watch for the weekend of Jan 6/7 2017. There is inventory showing before and after those dates but not Sat/Sun. Have they been irreparably been pillaged already?

There are many issues which affect this. As you said, only some of the available inventory is released at 13 months and remainder at 12 months. That said, I don't believe there is consensus on how that is being managed by MVC. There have been several reports of no availability when online or on the phones right at the 13 month release date, only to have some appear a few days later.

Additionally, remember that an enrolled weeks owners have until late in 2016 (Sept or later depending on Status) to convert a week for points so those premium ski weeks for early 2017 may not show up until Sept/October in 2016. Of course an enrolled weeks owner could convert at any time prior to that as well.

It does add some challenge to the process.

Best to check at 13 months, again at 12 (and several times in between) as well as waitlist and also continue to check often on your own if what you want is not currently available

Personally, I struggle with inventory availability at 13/12/6 months out -- I've spent a fair amount of time trying to predict it, and it is not predictable. Sometimes it is there, sometimes it is not.

With respect to your question, I think you will get either Mountainside or Summit Watch exactly 12 months out -- but generally, the system does not behave as expected. But at exactly 12 months out, I do think you will find availability. Please let us know how it works.
