DaveNV/Dave Slater RIP

So I was searching for information about a particular resort I was thinking about exchanging into. I found a 2017 thread, saw that Dave had stayed there and for just a second thought "I should send a dm to Dave and ask him about it". Then I remembered. Ugh.
 
Dave was always kind and generous with hids time. I just wish I’d had more time to stop by when I was in Mesquite to meet DaveNV.

I've gotten pretty busy with work and life the last couple of months. Just planned a Hawaii Trip yesterday and today I finally read this.


Loving what you do—or at least enjoying the hell out of every day, whether you’re at home, working, or traveling—is a pretty good way to live. I suspect I’ll work longer than I probably should, but that’s not the worst thing if I still enjoy it.

I remember BMWGuy, but did not realize or perhaps forgot that he was the same person as DaveNW / DaveNV.

Me too . . . until it was mentioned here. I think my actual "friendship" with him started when he was DaveNW here on TUG . . . and whatever his user ID was on the old Fairfield/Wyndham Yahoo Group(s) 20 some years ago.

Me three ....................... Always enjoyed reading BMWGuys' posts, and thought it strange when he disappeared and another helpful kind soul showed up in the form of DaveNW. Just never put two and two together .............. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Silly me ... learn something new everyday!!! ;)

I think he changed it after he sold his BMW.
