Don't pay more than a penny (.01) per point at a popular resort. Some owners who are selling a Wyndham timeshare at a not so popular resort will pay you to take it. By pay you I mean they will pay closing costs ($300 to $500) and the resort transfer fee ($299). Contact me if you'd like me to explain in detail.
As for the developer's (Wyndham) price per 1000 points, it depends how large of a deed (points) they are selling. The last I heard it was $200 per 1000 points. Stay away from Wyndham Club Access points. The sales pitch sounds good, but the negatives which they won't tell you out weight the positives.
Go to the following web site for current offerings. Also, check actual sales info there. Note, Wyndham points and WorldMark Club are totally different.
If you go to sales pitch for $100 bribe to get general information about Wyndham they will have a zillion reasons why resales are no good. Just come back here for the facts.
