i stayed at the Grande Vista years ago and loved it. Saw completed auction on ebay that couldnt get any bids for 3BR at $150 and I was surprised. why is this do you think?

I assume you are speaking of this auction?

Surprising for a 3BR platinum week. Perhaps the buy it now price of close to $9000 scared some people. Though it was a no reserve auction.

Auction was ended early, so likely a deal was made off of eBay and the week did sell. Seems to be quite the popular way for weeks to be sold on eBay recently.

Looks like the linked auction was pulled due to 'item no longer being available'

That's the answer: someone made the seller an offer and it sold away from ebay

So we will never know how high or low it sold for.

Yep, but we can conclude it sold for more than 2075 and less than 8999. 3BR Plats on Redweek start at 8300, so common sense indicates the settled price would be above the midpoint of the two data points offered. From the number of brokers who have been bottom-fishing my Marriotts, it appears brokers are actively seeking at 30-45% off recent comparables. I direct them to eBay for those kinds of deals ;)
