Cruise line bailouts -- your thoughts?

I am pretty sure that Matson (MATX) ships are built and flagged in the USA. They are eligible under the Jones Act to go from US port to US port. They are the primary sea based shipping provider to Hawaii.

As for container ships, I would agree. Matson however, moves cargo, vehicles and other goods, but is not a cruise line.

I'm a side note, I am surprised by the number of ships still sailing out there. I heard of two more today.

Me too. I did not think anymore ships were out there but one the Holland ships made news this morning.

Next port of call should be obligated to accept the cruise as long as they are equipped to handle the situation. Shame on countries turning away sick people.

We will always need container ships to deliver and move cargo, medical supplies, furniture, clothes, kitchen items and other vital goods, medical beds, clothings, tents, to major ports liked New York City, Baltimore, Maryland, Norfolk,Va, Miami, Texas, Los Angeles,California , and Seattle, Washington to name just a few ports.

Most items or products we American purchase are made over seas. Like in China, Vietnam, Malaysian, Mexico, Canada and India.

Also, container ships crews personnel size are very small in numbers. The average size number of a crew size is between 20-30 personnel.
