I'm trying to figure out how I put in my ads that I can actually book for a renter any time during the year at the resorts where I have 4-Star Elite status (Westin Mission Hills and Westin Desert Willow Villas).

I can even book anywhere in the world where there are Westin villas, with enough notice (8 months, typically).

Has anyone done this and know the right protocol?

Thanks in advance.

There is no way to post a listing for "all Starwood resorts." I don't think that works well anyway - people just don't get the concept.

The other big problem with waiting for someone to put in a request is that you are likely to be well inside the 8 mo. mark, and the best weeks (school holidays) will no longer be available.

If you want to rent Staroptions - I recommend that you make a reservation at Harborside as early as possible, and then make a note in your Ad that other resorts and dates are available upon request.

In the text you can also state that you are 4-Star Elite which gives you priority (but no guarantee) for a good view.

Renters like it simple, and a too much info. about the mechanics of a Staroptions reservation is more likely to make them nervous, than anything.

I've run ads on Craigs list that advertise "weekends in New Orleans, just let me know when you want to go"

And ads that read "Essense Festival July 4th weekend"

As Denise says the specific offer get the response

Make a reservation for an in demand week and advertise it....I think you will do better than a non specific general offer.

Having said that I always let my customers know that I can probably help them the next time they want to travel..
