Is there a way to search the entire site for a specific item? What I want could be offered by anyone in the country. I can't search every city.

Have you tried www.crazedlist.org ?
You may need to close a pop up screen and click the "get RSS feeds" instead of the search key.

Tried the link and got this message:

"Crazedlist allows you to search multiple craigslist.org sites at once. However in order to do so you must disable referrers in your web browser. Doing so prevents craigslist from knowing that you have come from this site and prevents them from blocking your results.

If you are unable to disable referrers you can try using the "Get RSS Feeds" feature which allows you to get an OPML file of the RSS feeds for your search instead of performing a search in the web browser. To do this, close this pop up, fill out your search, then click "Get RSS Feeds" instead of "Search".

Sorry, but as far as i know there is no way to disable referrers in Internet Explorer, so this site will not work for you."

Click the Blue link

It probably depends on what type of computer or system you are using, but that is the website IF it will work for you. Worth a try.

Go to Google advanced search. Enter your search info and at the bottom there is a space marked "Search within a site or domain". enter craigslist.org

This will search all craigslist sites.
