Converting to Marriott points

I'm not sure that is entirely accurate. You have a certificate of ownership in a trust rather than a deed to a specific unit in a specific week. For many of the resorts, reservation rights are floating units and weeks within a season so the owners don't get their deeded units typically, but the deeds are tied to a specific period of time in a specific place.
My package is deeded... I have the deed and it is recorded in Orange County, FL to my home resort. It just isn't deeded for a week, but instead for the VOI with the certain amount of StarOptions and the contract package details.

Both Sheraton and Westin Flex are deeded interests. Just like Abound Trust Points. DVC works similar, but different, too. You get a deed it is just tied to an interest in the trust instead of a week and unit.

I though you can convert in 1000 point increments with a minimum of 20,000?
I just watched the user video on the Vistana website. It explains you select the points you want to elect for Club Points in “increments of 20,000”. So if you own an 81,000 point VOI, you can elect 20,000, 40,000, 60,000, 80,000, or the entire 81,000 VOI. Those are the only choices. Just another facet of the inherent skim in the process that can occur. This has been my experience in the past for conversions I have done, unfortunately, my points are tied up at the moment due to a title modification and I cannot run a test case to verify for real.

That has been my experience as well. I just checked to make sure, and I am still limited to either increments of 20,000 or an entire VOI.

Thanks for clarifying. I was going by what the prior poster was indicating.

Might have been me. Frankly, I have never elected for less than the entire VOI I own in Aventuras because when I did the math it made sense to use it all in Abound and I have other StarOption sources that are less beneficial there.
