Contract start dates - question

I have 3 Wyndham contracts - 2 with an annual use year start date of 1/1 and the newest (resale) with a start date of 10/1. From the Wyndham FAQ page it looks as though the newest contract date should be set to match the date of the first contract of 1/1.
Should all 3 contracts have the same date? and if they can, do I call Wyndham to request the change or make it in writing?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Done - and Thank you. I confess to not re-reading before hitting the button. I think/hope those were the only oopses.

There are some advantages having 2 different use years, as you get points with different end dates if planned well no need to credit pool. Wyndham went through a few years ago and adjusted many users to the calendar end date. I really miss the different use years. Many of my cancelled reservations went back to the later use year it was great.
I had to keep track of my points on a spreadsheet, but no credit pool fees, and it seem like a never ending supply of points.
This JMHO.

Now that points (are supposed to) go back to where they came from, it pretty much eliminated that perk of different UY.

They say that new purchases will be adjusted to match what you already have, but in my experience that doesnt happen... If you want to make that change, call owner care, they will make it happen

Still very good to have different use years.

I've got two, but haven't seen much of an effect (but I don't do a ton of cancellations).

I am a new owner as of this year. The first contract to hit my account had a UY beginning 4/1. I've just had 3 more contracts hit my account and they did not adjust to the 4/1 as expected.

I'm okay with this because I like the idea of having access to points throughout the year.
