Hi,
I'm such a rookie. I bought an Shell Vacation Club Timeshare, taken in by the sales meeting and all. We were not made aware of the recission period, but we didn't bother to review the contract until our online service started. We found out that one of the points that sold us the timeshare was not even available to People living in the US.
I contacted the sales office who gave me the email to the District manager and I sent her an email with my concerns, and the desire to exit the timeshare. She wrote back say that there was a misunderstanding, and she would send the paperwork to cancell the contract.
I an now getting calls from the origional sales office, who I guess spoke to their manager, and they are saying the sales person is not even aware of the service I am referring to.
This site has been a tremendous help after reading some of the forums, and I am just wondering if they can go back after writing that the contract would be cancelled.

There is a very specific process for rescinding and you have to initiate it in writing - no matter what they told you. In your sales packet there are instructions for rescinding and you should follow them EXACTLY and TODAY. Nothing they say makes any difference if you don't follow the legally binding rescission procedures. They are just trying to stall you until it is too late!

This rescinding FAQ was written for another timeshare company, but besides that, everything applies to you.

Don't get involved with any more calls to Shell - just get the rescission in today!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
