Rick is on duty today and his pumper was called to the airport to assist in evacuating passengers. So glad no one was seriously injured, although back injuries can be serious, and there were some broken bones.

Rick has been a Denver firefighter for 33 years, and this is the first time he has ever been to an airplane accident. It is bitter cold in Denver tonight, but fortunately for the passengers, the crash happened right by Fire Station #4, so they were able to get into a warm firehouse. There were a lot of shaken up people, but most were not hurt.

So glad no one died.

I've been watching this on the local news as well. What a frightening way to start the holiday season. I hope they were able to get everyone out of the cold quickly. Where we are south of Denver, it is only 12 degress or so. I am interested in hearing what caused this accident.
