Confused on how to sell (give away) our timeshare!

I was recently looking into selling my week at Los Abrigados resort in Sedona, Arizona. We contacted the owner group (Diamond Resorts) about an unrelated question and were told that we no longer have a deed because we "upgraded to points". We were never given an option regarding points and were simply notified of a change once Diamond took over.
At this point I just want to get rid of this headache, but I don't know how to do so. I don't even really understand what I own. Can anyone help?
