Confirm SDO or wait for WMH or WKV

We're hoping to use an AC to reserve WMH or WKV in a 2 br for next June. I can see SDO right now, but wondered:

1) Will WMH or WKV show up later?

2) which is better between WMH or WKV? There will be a family of 4 with 2 kids around 11-13.

3) which has the best pool between WMH, WKV or SDO?

4) which resort is best for kids 11-13?

I can't help with the predictions on what will show up, but WKV is my vote for best pool and best for kids 11-13. The pool at the Westin Hotel next door is really good. A small but nice waterslide and a lazy river. (But no swim up bar ) The pool at WKV proper is also nice with a small waterslide and I think water volleyball or something like that. It also has an adult pool for people who want quiet. I think WMH has a similar setup, tho....

Do WKV guests have access to the Westin Hotel pool next door? I thought all hotel pools were no longer accessible to timeshare guests.

with children i would recommend SDO. there pool is fabulous for kids and there are many activites throughout the day for kids. and there are a lot of kids there.

Yes, they are allowed access to the hotel facilities.

We just used our AC for Sheraton Desert Oasis in June 2009 also (2bdrm) so if you elect that, we may see you there! I went with SDO because the pool and cascading waterfall looked great, and my poor husband is SO fair, he could actually get in the pool and sit in the shade - big plus since he burns even with SPF 80 sunscreen on. I guess it depends on what you want. Swim up bar is not a big thing for us since neither of us drink anymore (personal reasons). The 2bdrm lockoff unit is great, even better than the 2bdrm unit I stayed in Newport Beach (which was Marriott). With my sister possibly joining us from CA, the lockoff is great as it has its own kitchenette area and living space. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Our kids will be ages 11-13, what's different about the pools at SDO then WKV. Also, if WKV has access to the hotel, aren't the pools there just as nice as SDO or better? I respect your opinion, I'd always thought that SDO was just a step below WKV considering the huge price differential in resale prices.
