Condo or apt rental in Keauhou / Kona?

I like to extend my time on Hawaii, by combining a 2-4 weeks condo/apt rental with a couple of TS weeks [specifics deleted]. Does anyone else do this?

I have done well with VRBO in the past, but would also like a personal recommendation for specific rental properties that Tuggers have liked, preferably in or close to Keauhou. [specifics deleted]

Thanks!

We've stayed at Casa de Emdeko before and liked it. It's about 1/2 way between Kona and Keauhou. The furnishings can vary, so look at the reviews and photos if you plan to rent. I wouldn't recommend ground level units on the north side because they don't get as much breeze. I've never seen so many different kinds of Hibiscus planted around the grounds. Here's some pictures of them.

Apology & thanks

My apologies Denise,

In no way was this post/question an ad. I was giving specifics just to let fellow Tuggers know the parameters of what I usually go for.

I have been lucky in the past with the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club. I have seriously looked at the Casa de Emdeko, so thanks for sharing your recommendation, Art.

Hi Diane - I understand that advertising wasn't your intention, but many people ask detailed questions and include all their rental info. to circumvent the "no-advertising rule," so we have to treat all posts the same.
