Okay, all you experienced timeshare-goers. We bought our first time share 4 years ago and just bought our 2nd week (both resale, of course!) Now, I am thinking it is time to take advantage of a local storage service to store some of those items I only use on vacation or don't want to bother packing.

Ideas include:

Laundry detergent (those new Tide pods) & dryer sheets
Left over paper towels and napkins
Swim goggles and pool toys
Extra sunblock
Plastic key holder I use around the pool
Boca clips

I'm always amazed at some of the simple things people bring and I always think "Gee, I wish I had thought of that!"

Ideas?

Your post wasn't 100% clear to me. Were you asking for suggestions of stuff to bring to a TS? If so here is a link to a lengthy thread on just that subject. Bear in mind that if you bring everything, there won't be enough room for clean undies. http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166080&highlight=pack+for+timeshare

I like the age old adage- pack half as much stuff and twice as much money.

If I misunderstood and you wanted to know what others do with leftovers, I leave unopened packages for housekeepers and take the stuff I'll use again with. The rest goes to the dumpster.

Dry coffee creamer.
Instant oatmeal.
Spices for cooking.
Small cooler (which I would pack with the above food stuffs).
Flipflops for the pool.
Maps of the area.

Sorry, my post should have been clearer. We own a timeshare in Cancun and there is a storage facility offered there where we can fill a rubbermaid bucket and leave it behind. So, we have to bring the stuff once, but then it stays and makes packing lighter for future trips. I have certain things that I only bring to Cancun with me, so I am planning to leave them behind. Knowing that my "stuff" is only making a one-way trip, I am wondering what other items I should bring.

The idea is bring it once and forget about it. It will be there next time.

Ahhh, now it's clear! Yeah, beach stuff.
Beach towels, snorkels, fins.
Surf rod.
Cooler.

Plastic baggies to take snacks to the beach etc.
Plastic bags with ties to cover left over food in the fridge
coffee filters (if not provided)
beach toys (dependent on kids ages)
mugs to keep drinks hot/cold

Joan:)

I have one of these in Orlando - I have tons of stuff in mine:

many medicine chest-type items:
cotton swabs and cotton balls,
aspirin, acetaminophen, ant-acid, immodium
full size bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner
facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer
ear dry
toothpaste and toothbrushes
hair ties

swimming
sunblock and after sun care
our matching disney hats
swimsuits
goggles (if it was in cancun I would add a mask and fins)

a crockpot and electric skillet
coffeefilters

laundry:
detergent, stain pretreat, softener,

my very favorite thing
a water pik!

I have had mine for many years and I LOVE it!
