all morning there have been issues with accessing the TUG servers by comcast/xfinity internet users (myself included).

just a few minutes ago was the first time ive been able to access anything TUG related all day and this appears to be a much larger problem. hopefully they have "fixed the glitch" permanently but just in case anyone was having issues accessing the site, or may have issues later today...the servers are fine! just some sort of network routing issue hopefully being tracked down by a highly paid engineer!

If particular to a service provider it is likely domain name server related. Often their files get corrupted and can get hacked in a sense (but usually corrected on update) If you have the issue again change your DNS in your router to IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers.

Details from Google.

i continue to get messages from comcast saying they are "still working on the outage" so im honestly a bit confused as to what the problem really was and or what its impacting....but i can tell that traffic is way down from normal even still today....though it is fathers day weekend.
