Combining Program Fees

Hi All! I got tired of lurking and decided to join. Now if only I did that with the public radio station...

I am in the process of purchasing multiple contracts through EBay. Each contract is either 77K or 154K. I am hoping to get a total of 308K.

When the program fee is calculated, will I be charged on my total of all contracts, or will the charge be calculated per contract? This could make a big difference and steer me away from buying four 77K contracts.

Thanks!

Program fee is calculated on an account basis not a contract basis. I don't know what the closing costs are but it may be cheaper to just buy a single larger contract that dealing with a bunch of small ones. If you are looking to get the small ones for multiple ARPs remember that only the points you have at that resort can be used for arp and can't be combined with other contracts(unless they are the same resort and use year) until the 10 month window.

Thanks, Jason. I am trying to get the seller to cut me a deal and bundle the closing costs. I have a feeling I might have to go with a bigger point contract, but after the last few auctions I tried, some irrational buyers pushed the price up past what they could have gotten through the TUG Marketplace...
Thanks Again!

Irrational Buyers...I thought they only attended Owner Updates or Resort Sales pitches...

And then refuse to rescind...

Oh well. If you've been lurking, you know to watch the Main Fees. They never, ever, go away. Just don't go and get all twitchy about buying a TS. The good deal today will be there in another form next month as well. You don't have to buy right now.

mooman66,

You have the right idea if you decide to purchase multiple contracts from the same Seller. Tell him or her that you intend to purchase multiple contracts from their company and follow-through with the first WIN.

By doing that up-front, the Seller quite likely will cut a deal on the subsequent closing costs if you follow through and purchase multiple contracts within a pre-determined and reasonable period of time.
