Combining points and cash

I am going on a Orlando trip, and I don't quite have enough points. I reached out to borrow some points, but haven't had any luck.

I have 825 points next year I can borrow. I need 1700, but if I book 4 nights using points for Sun-Thursday nights, only 200 points a night, then cash price for weekends is pretty cheap.

Can I have a combo of point nights and cash nights, and they can combine them all into a single reservation so I don't have to check in and out each time?

Or would that just be a headache and not work it?

Yes, just ensure that you book the exact same unit type with both the points and Cash and then call the hotel to let them know that you want the two reservations combined as a single check-in.

Yes, this is what I am doing for Christmas week, using points for 4 nights and 2 with cash.

Why not rent any additional needed points so you can book the reservation you want and leave the cash in the bank? Website below:

Best of luck!

Would an exchange or cash getaway through II work better for your situation? Do ou have Bonvoy points you could use? Could you rent a week through redweeks or TUG?

I agree with everyone who has posted- definitely explore the cost of booking with an II getaway or buying a week off readweek- especially with Orlando (vs the cost of using your Abound points).
I have also added nights to a points stay with cash- as long as it is the exact same unit they will keep you there tomavoid cleaning extra rooms.
What do you mean you “reached out”- did you go to the site in #4?

Yeah I used that site. And its actually cheaper to do cash for the nights I don't have enough points which is odd. So I don't mind paying for cash straight to the hotel rather than risk gettin gscammed by renting, plus get the bonus points.

I'm so glad I asked! Getaways are amazing deal! My first getaway! Thank you all! I get to keep my points, pay about what I would to rented, and get a nicer place!
