Correct me if I’m wrong, from my understanding if you purchase Club Wyndham points on resale market you’re only entitled to 2 guest confirmations per use year, regardless of how many points you have. My question is, is the guest confirmation per booking, in other words, it covers the family/party accompanying the guest who booked the stay, or it’s 1 confirmation per each person from the group? The former makes more sense but wanted some clarification. Thank you.

I believe you are correct (on number of GC's for resale, a resale owner needs to confirm). Additional GC's are granted based on number of developer purchased points.
If a reservation is made in the name of an owner on the account you do not use a GC (that's why many recommend adding additional owners when you purchase (such as spouse or kids, as long as they (and you) are willing to take on the responsibility/risk on the account that is associated with ownership).
Whoever is on the reservation must be present at checkin, that is when GC's are needed - per room (not per person). Whoever is named on the reservatation (owner or person on a GC) must be present at checkin, id is validated, they are very strict about this (can't even be a spouse, must be the named person). They are strict on name, not so much on the address. Any changes to a GC and you are charged an additional GC. A GC can be added/updated up to the moment of checkin.

One guest confirmation used for each reservation where an owner is not checking in... it doesn't matter how many people are staying in the unit.

Great, thanks!

All non-VIPs only get 2 per account regardless of if they are resale or retail. It isn’t until you buy enough developer points to get to VIP does it start to go up. At the present Silver and Gold get 5 and 10 respectively. Platinum gets 15 per 1,00,000 points.
