Are only the CWA points in one's account accessible for an ARP reservation or are ALL of one's points on the table?

Example: Owner has 150,000 regular points and 77,000 CWA points. Owner wants to book a reservation using ARP for 200,000 points.

Are ALL the points in play?

(I'm trying to find out if it would be worth it or not to buy a small amount of CWA points just to get ARP at certain resorts, particularly Glacier Canyon.)

If you have 150k at say Nashviile and 77k CWA, only the 77k could be used for ARP at Glacier Canyon. I'm not sure how it would work for ARP at Nashville.

There is some discussion that CWA and CWP can be combined for ARP at the home resort of the CWP points. At least one poster here has done that.

Yes, I have been able to do that, but others have had a different experience, and the majority have indicated that the availability for CWA is different than the availability for CWP, and that they don't combine.

SO... very much a YMMV depending upon which VC you get. And when you are calling for ARP, time is of the essence, so you may not have a second chance if you get the wrong VC the first time (or two or three) you call in before you find the one that can make it happen.
