Club Points, $, Marriott Bonvoy Points For Presentation

Hi,
For kicks we signed up for an owner update at Los Suenos in Costa Rica. Our gift options are below. Stuck between the Club Points and the $250 resort credit. Thoughts? Thanks!

• 500 MVC Club Points.
• 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy® Points.
• Or a $250 Gift Certificate. (redeemable for restaurants, spa, golf, or a Virtual MasterCard for Tour or any other purchases)

If you have a use for them. I’d value the 500 Abound points the highest, based on MF per point as the value determiner.

They cost a little over $400…value is harder to determine. My main problem with them the one time I was given some was that they expire far sooner than one would like.

• 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy® Points.

I continue to get at least a penny a point for them and on occasion up to two pennies a point. So to me they would be worth at least $500 and more likely $600. But YMMV…it depends on how, when, and where you travel.

• Or a $250 Gift Certificate. (redeemable for restaurants, spa, golf, or a Virtual MasterCard for Tour or any other purchases)

Some expire and/or have other limitations that make them worth less than their face value. But the least of the three in any case.

Personally I would take the Bonvoy points, they usually have the most value.
