Club Internacional de Cancun - are the restaurants open?

We've been fine tuning our plans for our first trip to the Royals in Cancun on Nov 29-Dec 6. Somehow I missed a message on the Royal website which says: the resort (Club Internacional de Cancun) will reopen December 20, 2008.

We were planning to go to there for Lobster Night. Will the restaurant be open if the resort is closed?

I went by there about 3 or 4 weeks ago and looked around. Things were really torn up, but the plan was to reopen for Week 50 of this year. I talked with the foreman and he told me there were 250 people working on the job. They were like ants, all over the place and impossible to count.

If they open for Week 50 this year, like they have scheduled, you won't be able to go until next year unless you can extend your stay for a few more weeks. ;)
