I won Wyndham star island eBay auction on 2/19, paid for and faxed docs to resort closings inc on 2/22, and today they mailed me the deed and sent transfer docs/funds to Wyndham. Isn't that really fast? Now how long til Wyndham acknowledges transfer- 2 months?

It should be about a month. That's how long it took Wyndham/Star Island to finish our deal (128000 Every Odd Year) this past couple months.

a lot of closing companies already have the deed signed iby the sellers, all they have to do is add your name and get it to the county. and a lot of counties and closing companies do electronic filings. I would bet your closing company and the resort are in the same county

Now Wyndham is another matter. Although my last one cleared their system in just 4 weeks...maybe they are using that $299 transfer fee for more than just stockholder dividends and executive bonuses

From eBay auction end to letter in my mailbox by the resort that the transfer was complete, was 16 days. I was pretty happy/impressed. :)

After my original timeshare purchase went through quickly, I was told Osceola (OSS-see-OH-lah) County does deed preparations electronically. So, any Kissimmee/St Cloud timeshares should go 30-45 days, most of that time with Wyndham (super-quick with the county).

Think you can pay Wyndham $75.00 to speed up deed transfer.

I would guess it's the electronic filing with the county. The last time we bought a deed at smokey mountains it only took a week for it to be recorded and then 2 1/2 months for wyndham...

Wow that was quick. For our Wyndham St Thomas timeshare it took more than a year for the deed transfer and another couple of months to get in the Wyndham system. Fortunately the selling company made our first reservation.

Transfer complete

My star island transfer was complete on 4/10. Pretty fast, I won the eBay auction on 2/19 and paid for it/faxed docs on 2/22. Now I need my rci acct set up, any advice on how to get it done FAST?
