I'm in the middle of closing on a Starwood timeshare and 2014 maintenance fees have already been billed to the current owner. Any thoughts on how to proceed with paying those maintenance fees? I think I have a few options:
1) pay the 2014 MF directly to the closing company; or
2) wait for the deed to transfer then pay the 2014 MF directly to Starwood, but I don't know if Starwood will approve the transfer without 2014 MF being paid first.
I am trying to avoid delay and mixup as I have seen others encounter big problems with payment of MFs during closing. Thoughts or advice?
