Has anyone had experience with legally exiting timeshare contracts??? My dear husband was paralized 7 years ago, and I
am experiencing a big change from delight with timeshare to burdensome timeshare. I feel like a newby needing advice.
We have owned our time shares for 20 years.

This is the place to get advice! DO NOT call or take a call from any timeshare exit company, they'll take thousands and do nothing. First, call your resort and ask if they will take it back. You could also post it for rent here, at least you will get at least half of your maintenance fees back. Worst case scenario, just stop paying, stop taking their calls, and they'll foreclose.

So sorry for your situation and the financial burden and stress this is causing you. I suggest posting what you own (timeshare company and location) and if you own it (are you only paying maintenance fees or do you still owe on it - that may affect your options). That will help us get you to the appropriate thread and more specific advice. As @simpsontruckdriver driver said, do not talk to the exit companies, do not pay any upfront fees to anyone. You can always post here what you are doing and get sound advice before doing something.
