Headed to Massanutten resort in the morning; hope to get a round of golf in, then check-in.

We may have to kill a couple of hours; we may finish golf at about 3---and I guess they're often STRICT about no early check-in??

I hope 'HANNAH' doesn't affect us much.

I've done my 'homework' for this vacation so I feel somewhat educated about the resort.

But, if any TUGgers have any pearls of wisdom about Massanutten, and/or Shenandoah Valley 'stuff'---please chime in----I welcome advice.

Thanks,
Pat

They always seem to be very strict on checkin time - we always get to the area early and get out grocery shopping out of the way. If we are TOO early we ride through SNP or over to Harrisonburg and get an early dinner. They have never let us check in early.

We went over early (around 10 am) to purchase Activity cards. We got pre-checked in---all set except no keys yet.

I asked if we finished golf early, did she think we could come back 3:30 to 4 and get to our room. She thought that our room might be ready, we coiuld come by, or call.

We actually dined after golf and went back between 5 and 6. The lobby was BUSY with folks checking in----I would get probably 20-30 unit's worth of people.

We went to portion of the check-in desk, that no one was in at the time---a different line (it didn't say 'pre-checked'---but something other than regular check-in). I had my Resort map given to me with assigned Unit #348 written on it----and was quickly given my keys with no questions, etc.

When I make my reviews of this place----I'll be sure to mention this.

So far, we're having a NICE stay----it hepled that Hurricane Hanna wasn't too bad to us!!!

We had a nice time!

We had a VERY nice time at Massanutten.

Our Unit # 348F (Casa de Campo)was very nice/new.

We were not affected alot, but do agree that the units are not very sound-proof.

That's not something that would ruin our stay there---I'll write a TUG review with a rating somewhere in the vicinity of
a 8.5-9 (on a scale of 1-10).

Just arriving back home tonight---
back to work EARLY tomorrow

:bawl:
