checking DC inventory

I have a similar question on the sightings board but so far no response so I will try my Marriott friends and ask my question a bit differently.

As a Marriott owner, but not a DC member (nor can I be since I am a post 6/20 owner) can I call and check if a week I want is available via the DC? Can't immagine that I can do this but figured I would ask the experts.

Specifically, I'd like to know if Easter week is available at SurfWatch in a 3 bedroom garden view? If so, I am hoping those weeks get released soon and one of my ongoing request can grab it. Or, I will try to find a points renter who could grab this reservation for me.

Just wondering if that week and unit type is even in the DC to worry about renting or getting a trade. Thanks.

Jim,

Sunday check-in (April 8) is available for 7 nights, but not Saturday or Friday check-in. I'd be surprised to see that week released to II until mid-March though, if you're hoping or a trade.

Greg, thanks. You are the best! I already have a 2 bedroom for that week that I got off a trade back in July. It's for a Sunday the 8th, check in. Would prefer checking in on Saturday, but Sunday is okay.

I posted a points rental request on your site, so hopefully that works out but if not, I still have the week I want, just would like a 3 bedroom instead.
