And just another reminder, if you renew your passport and get a new passport number you will need to update your Global Entry with that info. It's easy to do online.

What I don't remember if is you get some kind of reminder notice for the Global Entry expiration. I have renewed once, but I don't remember if I just kept checking when it would expire or if I was notified.

Of course they expire!

If you have global entry you don’t need to renew tsa pre check separately as it’s included.

But, don't worry about the cost, many travel cards (like American Express or Capital One) will reimburse you for the TSA fee. I'm not sure about other travel cards.

We found out this last flight that even if you have a ktn it's not a guarantee that you will get pre-check status on your boarding pass.

Nope. There isn't an automatic reminder.

If this happens again, you may want to ask the airline customer service as they can update it. It's happened to me. But no, it's not guaranteed.

Thanks but I tried this and they did update the tickets twice which allowed us to check in three times. It didn't work this time. The Alaska Air person doesn't know why.

Thanks I just renewed! Didn't realize it was expiring this year.

It won’t work every time.

Thanks for the reminder! Renewed my passport late last year, and forgot to update it in GE. Cheers!

We received a reminder when our Global Entry (which includes TSA Precheck) was going to expire.

I also recall getting an email in advance of our Nexus expiration.

There is a link in the first post.
I would actually suggest to go to https://secure.login.gov/ and login and view connected accounts. Those links in the first post look to be a private website which may or may not charge extra fees for them to "assist" with processing your application.

That link only takes you to your account management.

To login to the trusted traveler programs go to https://ttp.dhs.gov/

I supose both will work. I had the one from my post in my Bookmarks and it got me to the same place. Your link is certainly more direct.

When I used the login only link I was taken to just my account management details without any links to any other government page. It did login, but then I was left without any easy way to navigate.

After you login, click on "Your connected accounts" in the menu spine on the left.

I hadn’t seen that! Still, that just takes you directly to the link I posted.

I agree, and I did say that your link was more direct. I suspect login.gov could be used if you have multiple different connected accounts. I have no idea what those could be but I am sure there are more than just what is being discussed here.

I checked mine yesterday because I couldn’t remember whether we had updated when we renewed our passports and/or GE. Login.gov also connects to the Social Security Administration but not to Medicare.

To find when your tsa pre check expires google tsa pre check. Also you will be sent a notice 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, and 2 weeks before expiration date by idemia.
