Got an email today:

Your Chase Sapphire Reserve® card gets you 2 free years of exclusive benefits and a 3rd year at 50% off*. Come back to the members-only lifestyle with Lyft Pink All Access—it suits you.

I really missed this benefit when Chase stopped having it. It’s nice to see it again and of course I signed up today. Lyft Pink is normally $199 per year.

I just canceled my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. I really liked it, but last summer they made changes to the security protocol that made it incompatible with downloading transactions and paying electronically from Quicken. Chase and Quicken still haven't been able to resolve the problem. That plus the increase from $450 to $550 each year turned me against it. I also canceled the Chase Amazon Prime card and replaced it with an Synchrony Amazon Store card which also gives 5% rebates from Amazon. I have credit cards from several different banks and Chase is the only one that doesn't work with Quicken.

and 10x points spent on rides! We don't use services like this often, but when we do it is nice to have this set up. Same thing with the Instacart benefits and monthly credits.

I actually just downgraded my first reserve to a freedom and reapplied for a new reserve for the 80K sign up bonus that was offered last month. I was withouth my reserve benefits for 3 weeks - but worth it for the 80K!

I have no problems downloading transactions to QUicken from Chase via WebConnect. I don't pay through Quicken though.

Do you have to do it manually?

No, they download automatically. Recently Chase has changed how you login to their system through Quicken, but that was a one time thing with perhaps some other times that you need to relogin, but I have only had to do it the first time. I am connected to Chase through Quicken on a Mac via "Quicken Connect". I don't have the Sapphire Reserve card, but no issues with the Marriott, Southwest or United Explorer cards downloading transactions.

I did change the login method, and it did work for awhile, but when it failed several days in a row, I decided to get rid of my Chase cards. I want cards that I can pay electronically by clicking a button in Quicken. Chase definitely won't let Quicken do that anymore. I could have Quicken send a paper check to Chase, but snail mail is slow and unreliable. BTW, I'm using Quicken on a Windows 10 PC. The cards that work best with Quicken are American Express cards. Transaction downloads are very fast and rarely have to be retried.

DH and I both have the Reserve card. For the second year in a row, when I went to cancel my card, citing the $550 renewal fee, Chase gave me a credit of $150. And then gave a credit as well to my husband (both years) who had renewed his a few months back. But 80,000 points also sounds nice. Maybe I’ll downgrade next year and then sign up again to get the bonus points.

I have a few Chase cards, other than a few isolated outages, they have always worked with Quicken for me. I don't use Quicken bill payment services, so can't speak to that. But all my transactions download just fine.

Yeah - I have been reluncant to do, but I couldn't pass up the 80K SUB they recently offered (back down to 60K) now. You need to time it right also, because you will lose any protections/insurance you have booked on the old card you product change. They also have a 4 year rule, if you have received a Sapphire bonus in the last 4 years, you can't get the SUB.
