The way my Massanutten certificates appear in my RCI points account under "my offers" has changed (see below).

I am now getting certificates that see 180 days out. In the past it was 45 days. That is a welcome upgrade!

Note: Despite the photo, these are not likely to be used for a beach vacation in beach season, but they can have value for non-peak usage.

Yeah photo is confusing. This is good for all Vacation Village resorts? Do they include VV affiliates? VV website has a long list of non-VV affiliates and a lot of CA locations are pretty good - including beaches!

They are good systemwide with rci not just VV afilliates but it only works with low demand exchanges often similar to last calls. They started off with 11 tpu's and lower (many years ago) but at this point I think they are down to about 7 tpu's and lower for use with the bonus certs.

Is it just a fluke on my account or are others seeing the 45 day out certs now going to 180?

Great good to know. I will get a GrandView unit and hope to get a similar certificate with the same photo.

Update: My 180 day Massanutten certificate I was happy to have is now gone (I didn't use it) and now all I have is this ordinary VV 2 - 45 day certificate.

I am both a VV (Grandview) and Massanutten owner on the RCI Points side. Maybe the most recent type certificate in my points account displaces what was there earlier?

For those of you that also own both like @tschwa2, do you see both VV and Massanutten certificates or just one type at a time?

For some reason all certificates (VV and Massanutten) to book a week for an exchange fee are now gone from my account.

Do you have a weeks account? It can take a few weeks before it shows up after the account is set up. I am not sure calling will help. In fact if you bought resale, a bonus week usually comes with it, but it isn't a contractual benefit of the deed. I believe retail contracts actually say the bonus weeks won't transfer although in practical experience the do transfer 90+% of the time. If you don't get one for whatever reason, neither rci nor the colonies will help you get it.

I emailed RCI and they got back to me quickly on this and posted the gift certificate. It’s good for 2-45 days select properties. $299 for a week if you can find availability.

RCI gave me another certificate secretly but none seems associated with vacation village ownership. I will see if I am on pace of getting one each month. Does anyone have something like this in the weeks account?

Interesting. I just got a 2-45 day certificate put in my WEEKS account this month as well. I had been getting one each November. Maybe they decided to give everyone an extra one in October?

What I have found frustrating is my free certificates have been retroactively removed from my POINTS account.

Yeah, I don't seem to get anything related to VV ownership. Is your weeks account associated with Colonies? I registered the weeks account with Colonies. Perhpas I need to deposit once in a while to get something associated with VV.

In RCI Points, it tells you (when you have one) if the cert is related to VV or Massanutten. I can’t tell what ownership certs are based on for RCI Weeks.

I get my RCI weeks account for free based on having an RCI points account. I own Massanutten Woodstone and VV Grandview both in points.

What I actually deposit in my Weeks account is most often VV the Colonies and sometimes Massanutten’s Mountainside Villas.

I see. it makes sense. So perhpas RCI is giving me 2 certificates for my colonies ownership. II did the same (2 ACs for colonies).

Maybe? I have my the Colonies ownership with both II and RCI as well. I get 2 certificates once a year in II tied to the ownership like clockwork. The RCI certs have generally been 1 per year with limited disruption. And I don’t know if they are tied to Massanutten or the Colonies. I think I got the certs before adding a VV ownership, and I don’t remember them changing.

After all the certificates disappeared from my RCI Points account back in September, they are back now. I wish the massanutten 180 day certs had been a lasting thing.

This has been a weird deal.
