My wife and I are considering a Celebrity Cruise and would like feedback from anyone who has sailed with them. I see there is a current thread that talks about Princess Cruises but I've not read about Celebrity experiences or comparisons in that thread or others. The cruises we are looking at are in Europe and also the Panama Canal Transit. I realize that there are other sites I can read about cruises but trust and respect the opinions of TUG members.

Newbie too

We are more landlubber travelers than cruisers, having only taken an Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Pearl.

But we did book a Baltic cruise on Celebrity for summer 2010 on their new ship the Eclipse because of itinerary, price, ports of call and length of the cruise.

Just like Norwegian, Celebrity has several extra charge dining rooms and they have just gone to an anytime dining option in addition to the traditional seatings in the main dining room.

I can tell you more a year from now:rofl:

Celebrity is a fantastic cruise line. I absolutely love the white glove service. After cruising on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean where you have to carry your own food from the buffet to the table, it was refreshing to have a waiter wearing white gloves to carry the tray for me. The cabins offered a lot of storage space. On-board entertainment was top notch. The food was excellent. On board activities were interesting (floral arrangement, wine tasting, cooking demo, history discussions, arts & crafts, ballroom dancing, etc).

Celebrity Cruise A+++

We LOVED our Celebrity Cruise! Service was wonderful....it is so neat to be treated so well. Staff was amazing attentive and friendly. I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Would cruise Celebrity again in a heartbeat!
When you want other's opinions be sure to check out cruisecritic.com Great forums over there dedicated to each cruise line where you can get ALL questions answered.

Celebrity is a wonderful premium cruise line. Expect excellent service, more gourmet type dining, and a laid back country club casual atmosphere. There are 2 formal evenings on a 7 night cruise. Open seating at dinner is now available in addition to traditional main and late seating. You can't go wrong with Celebrity.

We have cruised on many lines, and Celebrity is our favorite. In order of what we prefer, we would rate our cruise experiences like this:
1. Celebrity (2 cruises)
2. Holland America (3)
3. Carnival (1)
4. Costa (1)
5. Norwegian (1)
6. Royal Carribean (2)
Having said that, ships have their own personalities, and your experience may be colored by that and its passengers at any given time. We very much liked the service and ambiance of Celebrity, and the food was really good. We have never eaten at any of the specialty restaurants on any ship.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences with Celebrity Cruises; I'll be looking to book with them.

Ditto and ditto are you sailing the new Solstice class ship (Solstice or the brand new Equinox) or the M Class ( Constellation, Infinity, Millennium, Summit) or the C Class (Century)? We have sailed Celebrity Cruise Lines over ten (10) and all were outstanding cruises.

After all the glowing recommendations from everyone I booked this cruise with Celebrity Cruises:

14 Night Mediterranean Legacies Cruise on board Celebrity Summit

Cruise Ports:

Venice, Italy, Dubrovnik, Croatia, Athens (Piraeus), Greece, Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey, Naples/Capri, Italy, Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, Florence, Italy, Nice (Villefranche), France, Barcelona, Spain

Has anyone been on this cruise, any advice?
