We are going to the San Diego area for a week at the end of March (staying at Carlsbad Seapointe), and I'm soliciting ideas on things to do, places to see, restaurants, discounts on passes, etc. Our family consists of myself and my wife and our 2 children, ages 4 & 2. We are tentatively planning on doing Legoland, Seaworld and the zoo and/or animal park as well as beach and resort type activities. This will be our first time staying at this resort and our first visit to this area as a foursome. All help is appreciated!

Congratulations on your trade. You should have a great time. I assume that you will either have your car or rent a car while you are there. A car in Southern California is almost a necessity. The resort is very attractive and accross a busy highway from a great beach area. The resort has a lot of great amenities. I suggest doing a search on the board for Carlsbad and/or San Diego and/or Southern California to get you started with some ideas and have fun. They also have an activities desk there so that might be of some help as well.

A couple of "can't miss" suggestions are, of course, San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park in Escondido. A full day each.
