What have people been finding for Nov-Dec? Prices including fees and taxes? Thx

I leave Saturday for the Big Island. Only getting a car for 3 days. We'll be in
Kona. We're having Enterprise pick us up, was $143 total. That probably
won't help you because I know you'll be there much longer.

I've been checking on a car for my 2 weeks in Kauai in February, I have the 2
weeks reserved already for $452 total. I just checked today and the cheapest is $834.
I don't know what happened. I'll keep checking until I leave.

Hope you enjoy Telemark.

I used Hotwire.com for a week rental in Kauai in February. The total price with taxes and fees was $168 and it's with National.:)

I've been trying Hotwire also. I'm looking for 2-15 to 2-29. I've been told it's
higher because Presidents Day is in that timeframe. I've been checking daily.
I'm also picking up at the Lihue airport. If that makes any difference.

I just tried Hotwire again $658 total. I keep trying different times of day also
but besides today, Tuesdays have always been a little cheaper.

Are you renting smaller cars?

We really need an SUV or premium car - Greg's mobility just doesn't allow for anything smaller.

TIA for the info.

Yes, economy. It's only my wife and I.

I will be using Alamo for the Big Island in Nov. for a week, total = $151.65. Going on to Maui still with Alamo, total = $172.59 for eight days. These two weeks are for a alledged "mid size"!

Jim

I have an intermediate car, Toyota Corolla from Alamo for total of $141.56. This is for the Big Island Nov.4-11. Booked this through Costco. I previously had $232.40 through carrentals.com.

Try www.discounthawaiicarrental.com

I've used them with success several times and several islands in the past when specifically looking for the best price on SUV's. Just email them and get their best quote.

Have done that and got a good rate on a full size SUV - however that doesn't stop me from hoping I get an even better rate between now and January.

Thanks, those are good prices, better than I am seeing, but then we are there Thanksgving.

I am finding that two 2-week rentals are cheaper than the 30 days, which is crazy!

We recieved a good rate with the above link for an upcoming trip. $189 a week for an intermediate with Alamo.

Yes, I just got that rate from Costco, too. Incredible how they change, but aren;t we thankful?

But i will continue to look!:)

To update

After reading this thread, I sent Autoslash our information and I just rebooked through them this morning, they saved me over $70 and I had a very low rate before from Costco.

and actually it was $6 lower than they first quoted this morning!
I'm happy..and we leave tomorrow

$177/week including taxes, etc, for 4 weeks over Thanksgiving, in a standard-sized car.

Thanks autoslash!
