Cancun to Melia Cozumel - 6 people

We will be flying into the Cancun airport and need to get from there to the Melia resort in Cozumel.

Part 1: There will be 6 of us. We want to ride together.
Any recommendations on how to did this?
Van? Limo? Plane? Sea plane? We want it to be easy and hassle free.
If it is by ground transportation should we be dropped off at the ferry or have the driver take us across and all the way to the resort?
If dropped off at the ferry how should we get from the ferry to the melia?
Any advise for the return route?

Lots of questions but I am hoping to make this as easy for my family as possible.

Part 2: If you have been to the Melia on Cozumel can you tell me about the all inclusive? Is there food available all day or just during designated meal times? Is it all buffet style or can you order from a menu? Are there burgers, dogs and pizza (grandkid food)?

Yes, we are flying into Cancun and we are looking for advice on the best, easiest, fastest way to get from the Cancun airport to the Melia resort in Cozumel.

Fastest way

It probably won't be hassle-free, but it will be fun!

At the Cancun airport, get your transportation to Playa del Carmen by taxi or shuttle. Then take the ferry over to Cozumel. The ferry only takes people; no cars. You buy your ticket at the dock. (I think the ferry stops running at 10:00PM from PDC to Cozumel.) At the Cozumel dock, take a cab to either the hotel, or to the car rental agency if you're renting a car.

The ferry for transporting a car is expensive and about 5 hours! No speed there at all!
