I am going to Vidanta Riviera Maya in April and some interesting information yesterday on the Facebook Vidanta group and did some research and found that there is a limit on the number of electronics that you can take to Mexico per person without having to pay a fee! I generally take my phone, laptop, Kindle and iPad. It seem like you can only take a phone and one other elctronic item with no fee. The attached article explains it well - I have read many!!! I could live without the iPad, but the laptop, Kindle & phone are mandatory wherever I go!
It seems that only Cancun is enforcing it. One gal had to pay $200 USD for her extra item!!!
Have any of you had this happen? I have never had a problem in PV.
