What happens if you have to cancel a resort booked with an II AC (Bonus week)? We might have to cancel the reserved week booked with our AC and would like to know how II handles this situation.

Would II refund you the payment you made to reserve the week, and you receive the AC back into your account? I know II doesn't tend to refund unless you purchase travel insurance, which we did not purchase.

or

Would II replace the cancelled AC with a new AC?

If anyone can help answer this question I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
-Jean

I agree.

Your best bet if you can't use the week is to find a friend, relative or co-worker who can use the week and then ask II for a guest certificate.

Note that II does not permit you to rent the week to someone.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Another question, would II let you replace the confirmed AC with another week at the same time we call to cancel.

Give it a Try.
A nice II rep allowed me to make a swap with my confirmed AC a year or so ago.
I Always Try as the worst they can say is no and you can often get lucky if your nice.
