Newbie here.....
Thanks to all who have chimed in and given advise and their experiences. I happen to stumble upon this website, just looking for information on time shares...after we purchased in Las Vegas. We fell into the time share presentation trap.
I feel fortunate to have found this information before our 5 days to rescind expired.
We did opt out within the time frame allotted and the process was pretty easy and straight forward. There was a form tucked in the back of the paperwork...which should be in everyone's paperwork who buys a time share (and, they won't tell you it's in the paperwork)....all we had to do is sign, date and return to the address listed (certified).
( I added a short letter and the 1st page of our contract)
I am not against owning a time share, we just realized we overpaid.
I will say that it was a pretty good presentation....they can "polish a turd" and make it look pretty dang good! The presentation was pretty "low pressure" (we have sat through a high pressure presentation in the past).
If we decide to purchase a time share, it will be from the Resale market.
We did mention buying one off ebay....it about stopped the manager in her tracks!
I have a copy of the blank "rescind" letter if anyone is interested in what it looks like.
