Dumb question... I never have to cancel my booking within 2 weeks of traveling. I know I won't get any credits back, but is there any reasons to cancel vs waiting to see if I can get anyone to use my reservation last minute?
Thanks!

Personally I would not cancel just so Wyndham can rent it out themselves. That being said, if you no show, they will accuse you of renting because apparently not being able to check-in means that you are renting it out. It is nonsense but then again, there is no end to the nonsense.

IMO, how I use my points is my business. If I used my points for a stay, if I don't show up to check in, that is still my business.

Or somebody else might be able to grab it. If I knew for sure I wasn't staying I'd probably cancel to give someone else this opportunity. If everyone does this, it helps all other owners.

I would call Wyndham and explain the issue of why your canceling. On more than one occasion Wyndham was kind enough to return all points to my account.
