I just snagged another week at MPB for Dec of 2026. Would like to get a better 7 day reservation to get closer to the Christmas break or even score a platinum week on the Christmas break!
While this 7 day res is OK I sprung for the $99 2br upgrade and the $89 EPlus Retrade.

Was also wondering if I wasted the $89 Retrade fee since this is a Marriott enrolled week that I have on deposit? So would I incur the $249 retrade fee anyway? or is that fee waived as part of my enrollment benefit? Also I am guessing that if I retrade down to a 1br Master II will not refund my $99 upgrade fee?

If the Marriott weeks you used is enrolled and you retrade into another week at a Marriott or Vistana resort, there is a $0 exchange fee. You can retrade unlimited times Marriott to Marriott/Vistana for $0 exchange fees. Upgrade fees are non refundable. But you can possibly retrade down in unit size then back up and not have to pay the upgrade fee again.

Live and learn. Yeah I am planning to retrade if necessary to a Marriott. Funny how II does not make that warning when purchasing the retrade.

Also wondering how to do a retrade without the Eplus? It's obvious with the EPlus since I see the clickable icon. I don’t recall ever seeing the option on a non EPlus trade? Would I have to call II?

Once you add Eplus, you can't do a regular full fee retrade. You have to burn up your three Eplus retrades before going back to regular full fee retrades. Realize that full fee being referenced here is $0.

Let me rephrase the question.

What if I had not purchased the Eplus option? How would I see the regular retrade option?

Instead of a big fancy button you would have a small "Start Retrade" link.

II don't know why you chose e-plus, hence the lack of warning. What it has done is extended your deposit by 1 year, so you have bought something that has given a benefit you didn't have before, even if its not the benefit you wanted.

You could try calling and see if you get lucky with an operator who will let you cancel the e-plus.

You could also set up an OGS with a different week, if you have one available, for the exact dates you want, and then use the e-plus week to retrade out to something for a different trip.

e-plus also stops working 14 days before check-in, so after that, you'll have the no fee retrade option available to pick up something if you see it come up last minute.
