can you change where your pts come from with a reservation

If you have two MVC reservations using points, can you switch where the pts come from?

ie We have two reservation in hawaii, One is for sure and one is a maybe. But the points for the "for sure" reservation is using pts if returned can be used in 2024 and 2025 the other stay used pts from older years. Can we switch them?
 
From my experience, As long as they are they are not banked or hold points, you should be able to eventually find someone who will do it for you.
They will not do it if you are trying to switch out banked or hold points to replace clean points.

Absolutely yes. This is one of the nice features of the Abound program. I have done it several times, including within the last couple of weeks. Just call them and let them know what you would like to do. The representative may be able to make the switch themselves, or will ask a supervisor to make the change. They will keep you on hold while it’s being done.

Thank you all for the info.

I called today and my "soon to expire" pts where switched from the probable vacation to the "for sure" vacation and now if we cancel the probable vacation, I will get the best use of our pts for other stays.
 
I have done this also several but last time I did it they ended up "accidently" cancelling my reservation in the process. After some tense discussion with several people at MVC my reservation was reinstated.

This is why all conversations are recorded. It obviously was their fault and they had to correct it. Stuff happens!
