Now I'm fretting. I deposit Aruba - July 10 - 17. Should I have taken a different week to deposit for the Hawaii trade? I wasn't even thinking...

Will that week pull Kauai - July 10- or Maui July 3rd? Can I call Interval and change the reservation on Aruba or is it too late? I know a 29 fee can change a reservation - but not sure AFTER a deposit.

I am not certain but I think one a deposit is done it is gone...At least that is what I was told. Aruba is busy all summer although it was a zoo the first 3 weeks in August before school.

I would also call Interval and keep checking to see if something comes up. I called just to ask how this works and something was in the system in Maui July 3rd. It was just timing. So I might be wrong but I would suggest to keep calling as well.

We are all learning as we go.

Once you have deposited the unit it is no longer yours. II owns the rights to it.

... and that Aruba week was probably traded away the second it hit II's system. So, NO you cannot make a reservation change.

You can change if using Request First.

On my lastt II trade I booked an April week that was 145 on the II demand index chart and put in a "request first" search. When June rolled around I changed my reservation to a week 26 that was a 150 on the chart. I had Marriott call II for me and let them know of the change. My 2BR trade came within days.
