Can you believe this gas price in Orlando?

South Carolina now, right off the highway $2.09

In CA right now. Yesterday I paid $3.29 for premium at Costco. :D And I felt like I got a deal.

PSA - there is a Shell station close to the San Diego airport on Pacific Highway that has similar high pricing (currently $4.20 for regular). So get your gas somewhere else when your return your rental car in our fine city.

We live near Tampa and are in Orlando frequently. Every time we pass that gas station I comment about it. It says something about the willingness of the business owner to "take advantage". But it also says something about how many people just don't pay attention.

I think I would describe it as capitalism.

It's currently 2.15 at the Wawa near the Hilton SeaWorld today. We just drove by that station on our way to check in. Not bad at all. I hope Denver's price is that low.

Yeah, that station on Vineland has always had the ridiculously high price.

We made the mistake of pulling in there once, and filled up because we were running late getting back to the airport and needed gas. We hadn't paid attention to gas prices in the area, and we didn't know if there were any other gas stations on the way to the airport (pre-smartphone days). Man, were we mad to find out we paid double+ the going rate!!!!

BTW, regular unleaded is $1.86 in SW Missouri today. All the better for those who have to power up chainsaws to clear away downed trees from the wild wind storm we had last night. Crazy weather.
