Can Margaritaville points be used t book anywhere besides Margaritaville locations?

Hi,
Can someone guide me a bit here?
I'm thinking of adding re-sale points to my existing developer points. I want to be able to travel a bit more than what we currently do so I wanted to add 200,000 to 300,000 points .
I currently have 105,000 CWA points. I've tried to book at Margaritaville with no luck.

So I was thinking I would look at buying my points at a Margaritaville resort. But in doing so. Am I locked into using those points for bookings in Margaritaville resorts only. Or do those points work just like the CWA points? Sorry if this seems like a weird question. I'm new to this and trying to learn. But I haven't found anything on here that addresses this question directly.

You can definitely book other Club Wyndham resorts with Margaritaville points.

Margaritaville points probably have some of the best versatility, since you can book at MGVC resorts before anyone else does, and then at the 10 month mark, book anywhere else in the system. However, the downside is that the MFs at MGVC resorts tend to be pretty high. But you already have CWA, which is already pretty high, so it wouldn't be as big of a difference for you.

Just make sure you research the Sargassum issue at the one in St Thomas. The only MVC location that's hard is Puerto Rico.

The other downside is Margaritaville resale points are harder to come by.
