Try a different browser, or call and ask a vacation counselor to book it for you.

i called and they had no problem booking for me. just wondering if it is just me or system. i have never had a problem booking online
I say it's them :) I haven't tracked closely, but I think I hang when using firefox and do better when I use chrome. Sometimes it's just easier to call than keep messing around with it :-(

WBC has been a pain to book. Our friends needed ( or wanted) that weekend. I had it opted in for upgrade four times and nothing upgraded for weeks. And then I saw the entire month pop up so I canceled and rebooked the nights.

During booking:

it told me that the username and password was incorrect
the upgrade checked never went through on the confirmation
it changed owners on me (I booked with one name and the confirmation came through on a different owner.
two identical reservations showed on my screen (same confirmation number) So I changed the name on one and it changed both the names.) So I canceled it and rebooked it.

And in the past I think that weekend was always Pop Warner so usually pretty busy.

I was having issues on the website yesterday and I called in for help from a VC. He had me clear my cache. I hate to do that, but it did the trick. I suspect the website has cacheing issues and as you are using it your cache is getting full or messed up (whatever you want to say). He was very helpful, walked me through it on Chrome (he was glad to hear I was using Chrome, FWIW). I guess I'll be doing more of that - just have to log in again to my favorite places (like TUG and my games :)). The VC suggested doing that when you see the 'something unexpected happened'.

(Wishful thinking he knew a better, less inconvenient option, but nope... Chrome: in the upper right corner - select the 3 vertical dots -> select delete browsing data -> select every option but passwords and other sign-in data -> select delete data)

Did you try using Chrome incognito mode? That can sometimes work without the drawbacks of clearing your cache.

I regularly use this just to test out whether clearing my cache may actually make a difference (since clearing the cache and having it not fix the problem anyway is so annoying).

Duck Duck Go browser is also superior to Chrome IMO and might lead to less issues.

I did try that first, thank you for the suggestion. Yes, I much prefer that (if it works) rather than clearing my cache. I'm trying to convince myself that clearing my cache isn't such a bad thing :) (Been trying to do that for years, in my past (working life) I was a software tester - at that time, the goal was not to have to clear cache as it provided a bad experience for our customers).
