Would anyone recommend Cabo Trade Company to purchase a HGV unit?

I have been in touch with these folks on a resale and after reading posts on TUG about them I’m a little hesitant. I’ve asked them to transact through LT Transfers who I’ve used before and they are TUGGERS and do a great job. So far they’ve obliged and not had a problem with my closing company choice. What makes me hesitant is sending them a letter of intent with copies of IDs directly to them to draft a contract instead of LT. I don’t want to be signed up for some random vacation club like prior posts indicate. Shouldn’t LT Transfers be able to handle the logistics of all this?

Letter of intent? Are you contemplating a multi-million complex financial transaction or buying a timeshare?

Not at all. Just a typical timeshare week. I guess it’s me stating on their form that I intend to buy the week. They want copies of IDs sent with it to them, not LT Transfers. That’s why I am a little hesitant.

I ended up walking away for the same reason. I am glad I did because I found the season I wanted 6mo layer.
I was signed up for some vacation plan which was very annoying.

My comment was a bit tongue in cheek but the real point was that you should not need to give id and other details before having an actual contract.

I ultimately decided to pass. Upon doing much more due diligence I could not find anything - no real estate license, no Facebook page, no website, no Secretary of State business filing, nothing. It’s not possible to discern anything on this company. He was asking for $99 and IDs up front so I obviously passed based on that and did not provide it. It does not seem like a legitimate business.
