Cabo Restaurant suggestions?

Need some good mid-priced family restaurants for some friends that are going to Cabo for their first time. Three generations Grandparents mid sixties, parent(daughter) fourty and grandson six. I have been to Cabo often, but do most of my eating at my resorts or around the Marina or at timeshare presentations:D
Is there a Cabo dining guide anywhere I looked at the reviews and couldn't find anything.

This is my list that I put together on tripadvisor.

Here is the updated list of some of my favorite restaurants. I have eaten at all of these and enjoyed my meals. They are all with-in walking distance of the inner harbor.
Macombos (seafood) on Vicaro St.
Felixs-on Hidalgo St. Mexican (Mommas in the morning)
Pepes-across from the new mall- Mexican
Zapata’s-across from the new mall- Mexican
Stop Light cafe-next to Squid Roe
Crazy Lobster-Hildago St
Sleepless Lobster- $2.00 omelets $5.00 lobster omelets-behind Squid Roe
Spencers (in the Mar de Cortez hotel)-$2.50 breakfast
Mission De Kino’s- excellent seafood (dirt road next to Mar De Cortez hotel)
El Coral across from Tesoro (formerly Costa Real Resort)
Lapradilla-all you can eat ribs $14.99 on Hildago St
Taco Loco- next to the Jungle bar 4 tacos and a beer $6.00
Mamma’s – excellent breakfast little expensive (Felix’ in the evening)
La Dolce Italian on Hildago
Mi Casa-Mexican, can run hot and cold
Pancho’s-on Hildago-Mexican with 400 different types of tequila
La Golondrina-near Melia San Lucas hotel- outdoors with great food but expensive
Gardenia’s- great Taco’s (behind Mc Donalds)
Shrimp House-excellent shrimp on Marina Blvd D.T. (NOT SHRIMP FACTORY- enough said)
Solomon’s- walk through the lobby of Tesoro Hotel (formerly Costa Real), its right as you get outside.
Tanga Tanga next to the Tesoro Hotel (formerly Costa Real) 15 peso beers,15 peso tacos and 20 peso mixed drinks.
Nik San- Great sushi but expensive (behind Tanga Tanga)
Caliente’s - sports bar- 40 tv’s (next to Tanga Tanga)
Senor Greenbergs-excellent New York style deli sandwiches (behind Caliente’s)
Baja Cantina-inner harbor just down from Solomon’s

On Medano beach.
Billygans Island average food but 2x1 on drinks all day
Mango Deck: just ok but great beach action.
 
For a great place to get great authentic Mexican at affordable prices in a nice atmosphere try La Fonda. You might be able to get vouchers at loscabosguide.com. Los Cabos Guide also has reviews of restaurants at there sight and when you order vouchers that give you 35% discounts they will send a copy of their Los Cabos travel guide.

On our annual Cabo trip in August, we discovered Senor Sweets on the marina and I think we went there three times. Outstanding desserts and wonderful salads and other stuff. All ages would like this place.

Even without the vouchers La Fonda is extremely cheap for the quality. Their stuffed sea bass was one of my top 3 fav. dishes over the 2weeks we were there.

Edith’s Absolutely our Favorite Restaurant! Just above Medano Beach. Excellent Food Fairly Expensive. www.edithscabo.com has menu etc.
Villa Serena On the Corridor Reasonable and excellent nice view In a trailer park (But this is not the Trailer Park Restaurant) can see menu at www.loscabosguide.com
Mama’s Royal Café Best Breakfast Famous for their Eggs Benedict I like the omelets. Reasonable This Restaurant is known as Felix at night. On their website they have some good recipes etc. www.mamascabosanlucas.com
3 Solmar owned Restaurants
Sea Queen Seafood and Sushi Bar Very Good slightly expensive also a coffee bar
Romeo and Julieta Italian and some seafood reasonable nice atmosphere
The Galeon Italian Steak and Seafood Very good nice marina view
The Office On Medano Beach one of the more well known restaurants prices have gotten higher. Good quality owned by the same family as Edith’s
Sand Bar On Medano Beach Used to be cheap Its good though a neat place to hang out and Have a beer and a snack on the beach. Near the Melia San Lucas
La Palapa A local Seafood Restaurant that is good and Reasonable.
Mariscos Mocambo another good local seafood restaurant with an extensive menu.
Pancho’s Owned by an American over 200 kinds of tequila and a large menu.

Many of these restaurants are listed in www.loscabosguide.com but I think some of the prices are from a few years ago and they may be more expensive. This website is also very useful for other info such as Maps of Cabo and the surrounding areas

Morgan's in San Jose Cabo
 
San Jose has much better dinning than Cabo. We didn't visit Morgans but El Chilar was the number 1 spot we visited with Don Emilianos, Damiana, Da Antonio and El Comal as other favorites. We never had even a mediocre meal in San Jose all were great.
 
Is Latitude 22 open? I know it had moved out near Costco, but we were told it was closed last time we were there.
Also to add to restaurants, our favorite is Romeo and Juliettes (sp) in Cabo.

All these recommendations are good and it's nice to have some San Jose restaurants in the mix. I've added a link to this thread in the sticky post above so if anyone else has some more recommendations, please add them to this thread.:)

Cabo Resturants

Along with Edith's and Villa Serena I have a great one to add to the mix in Cabo. Ate there this past week and it was wonderful. La Casa del Dorado.
Great food, wonderful ambiance and the BEST flan in Cabo.
 
Don't rule out the voucher program. The vouchers that you do not use are fully refundable. We used them for the first time this fall. I wish there was something similar in PV. Here is an excerpt from my TA report.

And now for my raves about the voucher program. We were determined to be adventuresome this year and eat at some places that were new to us. We purchased vouchers for Ponchos, La Golondrina, Justo al Gusto, La Fonda, Rafael’s and Amarone.
Poncho’s is a yearly favorite and we were certainly not disappointed this year. Our party sampled the garlic shrimp, tequila shrimp and the coconut shrimp. Dinner for four including a round of drinks and tip was $150.
Justo al Gusto was a delightful surprise. I had delicious sea bass with rice and fresh vegetables and my husband had the tequila shrimp which Mario, the manager, flambéed at our table. Both the owner, Marcus and Mario made us feel very welcomed. They were not crowded the evening we were there which is a real shame since the food and presentation were excellent. Dinner for two including one wine and a desert was $65.
La Fonda was fun, the food outstanding, and the portions way to big. This is Mexican cuisine at its best. Ladies, they provide you with little metal stands to hold your purse while you dine. I don’t’ remember the name of our choices but mine was a shrimp taco of some sort stuffed with mashed potatoes and my husband had a beef dish. It was hard to spend enough of our vouchers here. Our resort provided us with coupons for margaritas so appetizer and dinner for two came to $30.
Amarone was our least favorite choice. The meal was fine but not spectacular. I had chicken with lemon sauce and my husband had the veal parmigana. I should have known better then to look for good Italian food in Mexico. Dinner for two including one appetizer, 2 glasses of wine, coffee and one desert was $112. plus tip.
Rafael’s was everything I hoped it would be. It was romantic, superb food, great entertainment, and a very unique atmosphere. John enjoyed Jose’s seafood extravaganza (shrimp, scallops and lobster in white wine and cheese sauce) while I had surf and turf with a bleu cheese topping. Our bill with 3 drinks, appetizer (crab cakes), desert and coffee came to $147. including tip. This was the only restaurant that charged us a 10% surcharge to use the vouchers.
Sadly we did not get to use our vouchers at La Golondrina……so many restaurants so little time. Hats off to Tyson Promotions for their voucher program!
I would like to include one other place in our review and that is Tabasco’s on Medano beach next to Club Cascadas. Breakfast and lunch were pretty normal but their Shrimp Cortez on the dinner menu is to die for. The casual beach atmosphere and great sunset location make it an excellent choice for dinner.
 
San Jose tips. Señor Sanchez, in the main street a couple blocks from the main square, nice atmosphere, live music, good wine list, beautiful place. On the zona hotelera, kitty corner to Vidanta los cabos, almost just across the street, one nice italian restaurant La Forcheta, and a great mexican restaurant. Better food and better prices than some of the restaurants inside Vidanta, way faster and no fuzz.

If you want to lay out serious money for something spectacular, El Farallon at Waldorf Astoria (when did Pedregal brand Waldorf?)
 
One more. Rooftop 360 on the top of Cabo Villas. The menu Isn’t huge but the food is good and the view is to die for. There is a pool up there and if you spend on food and Bev you can hang at the pool.
 
From that much earlier post about La Fonda, we loved it having gone several times back in 2007. Unfortunately, it's gone.
 
A second vote for Wachinango's, plus Salvatore G's for Italian and Patagonia for steaks. Tiramisu servings at Salvatore's would feed four!
