I received notification from platinum that cabin on the green in branson closed suddenly and my reservation is canceled. Anyone know what is going on?

That article is over a year old and they were listed as not operating with a valid business license.

Their website is down and Festiva no longer shows Cabins at Green Mountain as a destination.

Would be interesting to know the full story ...

I am an owner! I received a letter stating that they had gone broke and were going to sell the property and return proceeds to owners. I had already deposited my 2025 usage with interval? I wonder what will happen with that??

I suspect Interval will not honor that deposit. Have you checked your II account to see if that deposit still shows as available?

Who is it that has gone broke? The HOA?

Is this deeded property? If so, wouldn't a owners 'vote to terminate as a timeshare' have been required?

Was there anything you had seen as an owner that indicated this was coming?

Drove past Cabins at Green Mountain last night and they were vacant. Just some security lights on in parking areas.

Wow! I always thought that was a relatively decent resort with a good location. I had actually co soldered buying a resale unit there several years ago before Marriott came along with their Abound program and getting a unit at the Marriott became much easier.

This is the third Branson Timeshare I know of that’s gone bankrupt. Colonade and Grand Regency went bankrupt several years ago. Grand Regency was purchased out of bankruptcy and the new management tried to force owners to pay MF’s while they took their time with a remodel and kept the resort closed for a couple of years. I don’t know what happened with The Colonnade owners. French Quarter also went bankrupt but never ceased operations. They were purchased by Spinnaker. There was one building that was shut down and all owners with deeds in that particular building lost their money and deeds. It was later auctioned off and is now full ownership condo’s.

Exactly how does a timeshare go bankrupt? I suspect to many owners don’t pay the MF’s. This was an older resort and the deeds held no value. It’s very possible that as owners died off or could no longer travel, it got to a point of no return. Last I knew this was a Festiva resort. I don’t even know if they’re still a timeshare management company or if they got bought out like some of the others. I really hadn’t heard the Festiva name in several years

There's a thread about closed resorts and it was recently reported that another Festiva resort, Church Street Inn in Charleston, SC has bought out owners and is closing as a TS. Have no idea what's happening with CGM other than the year old story they were operating without a valid business license. Very odd that there wasn't prior communication with owners or exchange companies.

As for closed Branson TS, there was also Roark Creek. And HICV's Ozark Mountain in Kimberling City.
