Looking to buy Wyndham 3rd. Just want to know if you get the same benefits.
Hello, I found someone selling Wyndham third party for $1,000. It’s 154k points, $90 a month in maintenance a month. Use- is Annual. Do you get the same benefits as if I bought it through Wyndham ? What are the cons of doing this?

You should give us more details about what kind of contract it is. Is it Club Wyndham Access or is it points at a specific resort? The most important thing when buying Wyndham is buying at a low maintenance fee resort. Does that $90 a month include the program fee? 154k points per month is not enough for the minimum program fee per thousand points so you’re going ot be paying something of a premium there.

As to your question about benefits, you won’t get VIP benefits (discounts on bookings in certain windows mostly), but those definitely aren’t worth the price of buying direct, and you won’t be able to book at Worldmark Resorts. Other than that, points are points with Wyndham and they work the same way whether you buy them resale or retail. $1,000 for 154k points is likely very high unless you’re getting points from a very low maintenance fee resort like Canterbury or maybe Bali Hai. Even then that sounds expensive for that number of points compared to what you can get on eBay. Does the $1,000 include closing costs and the $399 resort transfer fee?
