For those of you who have bought a TS on Ebay what paperwork did you ask to get sent to you before you bid or if that's not possible what paperwork should be sent to you when asking for payment.
Do you expect to receive a copy of the original owners documents with the resort. Thanks

In most cases, you will get nothing more than a simple deed transfer. In most cases you aren't buying from the original owner, and chances are the reseller does not have the original owner's paperwork.

I recommend that you ask for an estoppel letter, before you make your final payment.

No.

If you are referring to the condominium Initial Public Offering or condominium Master Association Documents, etc., which are incorporated by reference into all the individual timeshare deeds, then no -- I don't expect to get my own personal copy as part of the resale closing process on an eBay timeshare purchase.

If I want see for myself, I have to get a photocopy or better yet view the documents on the electric computer if they are available via internet.

Wow now I do feel stupid. What I meant was how do you know you are getting what is put out there on the Ebay site. Is there anything that you get, for instance, a no from the paperwork that you can check out by phoning the resort and confirming MF etc. This is a Mexican TS.

I have gotten to the point that I know what I want and know the product Im bidding on better than the seller..

If I venture into unknown territory, I ask questions and get as much as I need to feel comfortable...There is usually someone here on tug that knows the resort inside and out...ask.

I've been to two time share presentations at Villa del palmar Flamongos. They're selling a 2 bed lockoff winter MF 611. My question is that's what they say they are selling. I can bid but I don't want to pay untill I see something that gives me enough information that I can phone UVC and confirm, particularly the MF fee.s
