buying resale question

we just attended a timeshare presentation in orlando....prior to learning about resale properties. if you buy a resale property, do you still get the benefits of using the RCI last minute vacation deals? do you know of any other benefits that are not given if you don't purchase directly from Hilton? the perks are not worth the extra thousand $$ that it'd cost to buy from HGVC.

I'm a resale buyer of three HGVC units and Hilton treats me just as if I'm the original purchaser of one unit (HGVC South Beach). For some reason, their computer system lists me as the original purchaser of the contract even though I've told them many times that I bought resale. Too bad there really aren't any worthwhile perks for original purchasers ...

Keep in mind too that while HGVC offer resale properties, often as a last ditch attempt at a sale, you often can do better on the private market. Two brokers are frequently mentioned here on TUG and both are highly reputable.

For some of the resorts in the book, they show points required for a 1 bedroom plus. Any idea what a 1 bedroom plus is? Ocean-View maybe?

Also, any idea how to print the complete book and not page-by-page?

Plus (& Premium) units mean different things at different resorts. Some have better views, different amenities, size, etc.

Also, any idea how to print the complete book and not page-by-page?

On the top of the page, select the "Download" menu, and then "Download entire book". That will get you a PDF document, and from there you can print out the whole book if you want.

Depends on the property. Sometimes it's a view, sometimes it's room size. Near an ocean, it's likely a view. In Breck, it's room size.

My suggestion would be to save a few trees and print only those sections which are most important to you. Avoiding the puffery and colorful photos. I'd just do the Rules (not HC/NY rules)... you'll need to re-read those several times... perhaps the Fees, and maybe the list of resorts in each area.
